This game was interesting. The controls are pretty basic but I thought it should be something we could look at.

Spaceship background

Sound some spaceship backgrounds. This website has several images, I thought they looked kind of cool.

Mall scenes

Here is a scene for a mall that I found. This scene could be a good starting point when the creation of the background for the mall begins. A side note I realize the image is not exactly a side scrolling shooter but it could be a good starting point.

Zombies

For the game I really  like the ideas that Patrick had which was two different kinds of Zombies. The first was the Zombies are slow and chasing the user. The second was the Zombies run fast and chase the player and jump on them.

1.       Charge up attacks

2.       Contra-old NES game

3.       2.5 D or only being able to move from left to right

A.      Shield absorbs the blast

B.      Torrent

C.      Slower paced

D.      Don’t want the screen to force the player to move (maybe)

4.       Zombies at my neighbors

5.       Camel game (Spitting at enemy)

6.       No more heros

7.       Metal slug

8.       Crash Bandicot

9.       Axeley

10.   Star Fox- moves forward but you can move left and right

11.   Excite Bike with shooter

12.   Castle Crashers with guns

13.   Old Simpsons

14.   Hockey & Rocky

15.   Free sounds effects.

As far as the games that I like are 1. No more heros. 2. Metal slug.3. the possibility of Excite Bike with guns.
